The Arena Stavanger Sports hall has been selected as the arena of the world championship. Stavanger Sports hall is the main arena for large sport events and is located within walking distance of hotels and a sauna with the best view in town. Equipment All equipment used in the competition will be in accordance with IPF regulations. The Norwegian Powerlifting Federation has selected Leoko bar and weights and ER Equipment lifting rack for the IPF World Powerlifting Championship. A scale will be available both in the arena and at the hotel. Medical Facilities The local hospital is informed about the championships, and is located within 5 min. from the arena. Food & Refreshments For referees, spotters and loaders a lounge supplied with food and drink will be accessible. There will also be a buffet with different small dishes in the foyer area. Restaurants are located at the hotels nearby, and there are a variety of restaurants and cafes downtown Stavanger (10 min. by car from the lifting arena).
