The IPF World Powerlifting Championship for men and women will be held in Stavanger Sports hall 2 km outside city centre of Stavanger in the period from the 5th to the 11th of November 2006. Stavanger is the second largest town on the west coast (115 000 inhabitants), the main business of the area is oil related industry. More about the area on the travel pages. |

The lightest lifters open the championship and the heaviest lifters will close the championship, if you are interested you can read more about the time schedule here.The host of the 36th the IPF World Powerlifting Championship is the Norwegian Powerlifting Federation. "Sandnes Atletklubb", "Stavanger Styrkeløft klubb", "Sauda Atletklubb" and "Hommersåk Atletklubb" is responsible for the technical part of the championship. |
